| Programme route Maastricht Pride 2024 We'll start a little different this year, not at the Vrijthof but at the Markt, next to the statue of Minckelers!  From there, starting at 13:00, we will walk via Wyck to the Stadspark. There, a space will be created for speeches and performances, and local queer organisations will have a space to present themselves. The programme at the Stadspark will end at 17:00, but the fun won't! Because at 21:00, COC Limburg will organise an after party at Café D'n Hiemel, which will last until 3:00 at night. And this year, Pride Maastricht will continue on Sunday. A donation based breakfast will be available from 9:30 until 11:30 at Café Rosé, after which you can join the Hiking Queers for a hike at the Saint Peter's Hill, starting at the Central Station at 12 noon (reservation compulsory).
How to get to Markt The march on Saturday will start at the Markt square. We advise you to come by public transport. The Markt is a little under 15 minutes walk from the central station. Or take the bus to bus stop Mosae Forum/Centrum, which is around the corner. Coming by car anyway? Park for free at P+R North and take bus 10 to the centre. Mind you, this is much cheaper than parking in the centre! Don't have an OV-Chipcard? No worries, it's possible to use any bank- or credit card as an OV-Chipcard, just check in and out like everyone else. :) Please do not bring flares/smoke bombs!Last year, some people set off rainbow smoke bombs during the march. Unfortunately, not far behind them where some people with asthma who quickly needed assistance from our first aid team because they encountered breathing problems. Therefore, although we know they look pretty, we urge you not to bring any smoke bombs to the protest! |
